BOARD 02 — NEW IN V5.1 · THE SETUP WIZARD
Seven screens, then a finished site.
Activate the theme and the wizard opens itself, once. It measures your server, installs your builder, installs the plugins with the reason for each one next to it, imports one of the 14 demos and hands over. Nothing in it blocks you — every screen has a Continue, a Skip or a Decide later — and it never comes back once you finish or close it.

What the wizard is about to do, in order. "I'll set it up myself" closes it for good and tells you where it lives afterwards: Appearance → Constructo Setup.
Server
Thirteen values measured on your own server — PHP, WordPress, memory, execution time, upload and post size, max_input_vars, ZipArchive, image library, MySQLi, cURL, the uploads folder, HTTPS. Printed as Currently against Recommended, each failing row carrying the fix as a sentence you can forward to your host.
Builder
Elementor or WPBakery, one card each. Continue installs and activates the one you picked, so it isn't waiting for you again on the next screen.
Plugins
One row per plugin, each with the reason the theme wants it — the list comes from the theme's own registry, so it can't drift. Installed one at a time: a slow host firing eight downloads at once hits its own process limit.
Demo
The demo grid, filtered by the builder you chose. One click imports, with an elapsed-time overlay. It tells you if the site already has a demo, and if an earlier import died half way it says so and sends you back to the server check.
Updates
Licence key for one-click updates and direct support. The theme is fully functional without one — nothing is locked behind it.

THE SIDE RAIL — WHERE WE SEND PEOPLE
A demo import needs real memory and real execution time, and the oldest support ticket we have is a cheap shared plan that can't finish one. So the column beside every wizard step names the two hosts we work with. In the product those cards are administrator-only, dismissible per card, and switchable off for the whole site.

A human reads your header and knows you are a roofing contractor who answers the phone until six. A crawler reads markup, and unless something in it says so, it guesses. Which half earns its keep, honestly: the structured data is the part with demonstrable effect — rich results, knowledge panels, an assistant naming your company correctly. No major AI company has committed to reading llms.txt yet. Your AI gets a gate pass. Not the keys.
Constructo publishes what it can do to WordPress's own Abilities API, so an assistant you already use — Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Oh My Pi — can read the site and build pages out of the theme's own 63 widgets. The theme contains no AI, no API key and makes no outbound request: it answers the tool you connect, authenticated as the WordPress user you connected it as, and writes down every call.

Will it end up looking like every other construction site?
You start from one of 14 different demos, then change headers (8 layouts), footers (5), colors and type without touching code — and Elementor takes it as far from the demo as you want. Two Constructo sites can share nothing visible.
Is it bloated?
Constructo is a single-industry theme, not a 400-demo multipurpose. The widgets ship in one companion plugin built for this theme, and version 5.0 (December 2025) was a ground-up Elementor cleanup. You import one demo, not fourteen.
Will my site actually look like the screenshots?
The import is the screenshots: the same pages, menus, sliders and theme settings land on your install. What changes afterwards is your logo, your text and your photos.
Am I locked into a page builder?
Constructo builds on Elementor's free core — the most widely used builder there is, editable by whoever inherits the site. Existing WPBakery sites stay supported. Your content is normal WordPress content either way.
Will it be abandoned in two years?
It hasn't been abandoned in twelve. Shipping since 2014; version 5.2.0 released September 16, 2026. The inspection log above is the receipt, not a promise.
What happens when I need help?
You ask the people who wrote the code. Real humans, first response typically inside 15 minutes, priority queue for Club members.
Buying direct is cheaper — is it legitimate?
The Club is run by AnpsThemes, the author — an Envato Power Elite seller, on the market since 2011. Direct costs less because no marketplace takes a cut, not because anything is missing. You get invoices, a licence dashboard and the same theme, first-party.

Do I need to pay for AI to use the AI features?
No. The theme contains no AI model, no API key and makes no outbound request. AI visibility publishes structured data and /llms.txt on your own site. Agent access answers the assistant you already use — Claude, Cursor, VS Code — authenticated as your own WordPress user.
Can an AI agent break my site?
Writing is off until you switch it on, and while it is off the write abilities are not registered at all. Publishing is a second switch: until then a page an agent builds arrives as a draft. Every call is checked against the WordPress account whose application password you issued, and the last 200 calls are listed on screen, refusals included.
What if my host can't run the theme?
The wizard measures thirteen server values before you import anything and prints your own numbers against what the theme needs, with the fix written as a sentence you can forward to your host. If they won't raise the limits, the side rail names the two hosts we work with — disclosed affiliate links, dismissible, and switchable off for the whole site.
